My PB + J

Flab-Flab, Go Away {Friday’s}

This will be short and sweet. I have sucked at making it to the gym. I did, however, make it to spin class tonight and survived the one-hour class. I am a new lover of spin. My first class sucked BIG TIME, but with the persistence of my friend Jinger and the hot pair of Specialized “Spirita” bike shoes she purchased for me I have zero excuses. On a side note, who does that? I guess I have one amazing friend who really wants to ensure this baby flab sheds quickly enough for us to make it to her early Vegas soiree.
Here’s the stats:
Weight Loss: 157.5 pounds, down 1.5 pounds
BMI: 25.33 down a smidgen.
I did pass my first deadline this Wednesday. I was supposed to have made it to my first goal weight of 148 but with limited (or no) gym time I am lucky that I am only 9.5 pounds away. Which just sounds crazy in itself that I am that close. Dear spin, help me shed this 9.5 pounds within the next month. Pretty, pretty please!
Check out my bike-a-licious shoes. Be jealous. 😀

Flab-Flab, Go Away {Friday’s}

With another Friday down that means another weigh-in. I have been pretty conscience

about what I am consuming even with returning to work this week I was a little hesitant about giving into cravings. I am the General Manager of a restaurant after all! I will say that I did very well while at work, only eating there once ordering a half Cobb salad, not bad, right? With my Mom being here, I wanted to go out for dinner, I was not about to make dinner after my emotional first two days back. The first day we all went to Pei Wei because I had a craving for their lettuce wraps and pad Thai. . .so yummy! Tuesday my Momma wanted to go to Claim Jumper so of course we did and I gave into yet another craving and had a Frisco burger, oh what?! Yes! I sure did. Basically, what all this alludes to is that I am a HUGE emotional eater, so I wasn’t expecting to lose any weight, but guess what? I DID! And 1.8 pounds at that. I was shocked. I literally let out a yelp when I saw that I am now under 160 pounds {pats self on back}. This brings my total weight loss to 40 pounds. I know some of that was baby and all that goes with carry a baby but who cares, I was after all 199 pounds when I gave birth and now I weigh 159. I only have 12 pounds to go to get to my first preggo appointment weight. YAY! I know I can do this, and I have been. With life as hectic as it is being a mom, a wife, and a daughter demands are high but somehow I have managed to get this far. I am more motivated today than ever to get to my first goal weight of 147.

Tonight I am heading to my first spin class with my friend Jinger. I am really excited because we live minutes a part but I have only seen her while doing a wig pub crawl or Vegas trips. She has two other ladies coming, one who has a three-month-old, which makes me happy to meet other mommy’s who live close. God knows I need more mommy friends close to me.
Here is what I ate this week (if you care) You might gasp when you see what I ate, I know it’s not that great, but let’s be real here. I also make sure to drink plenty of water and I am happy to report I have not had any soda or carbonated beverages in over 7 weeks
{another pat on back}.

Monday:
Yogurt w/granola
iced tall skinny vanilla latte
uncrustables sandwich
lettuce wraps, veggie pad Thai
and maybe a few pieces of Easter candy

Tuesday:
Cereal
iced tall skinny vanilla latte
half Cobb salad
Frisco burger
cadbury egg

Wednesday:
Nordies Cafe 1/2 turkey sand, mixed greens and tomato soup
Wahoo’s fish taco
Easter candy

Thursday:
Yogurt with granola and blackberries
uncrustables sandwich
a few lemon shortbread cookies
robek’s smoothie
iced grande skinny vanilla latte
chicken taco/bean & cheese burrito

Friday:
Cereal
hmm…dinner, what to make!?

Flab-Flab, Go Away {Friday’s}

I realize that I am a few weeks behind with giving ya’ll an update on my weight loss. It’s going to be short and sweet tonight since I still have last minute things to get ready for tomorrow so here we go:

Last week: Weight loss was the same. 🙁
This week: 160 pounds, down 2.2 pounds since last week. YIPPEE! This brings my total weight loss to 10 pounds. I have 14 to go to my pre–preggo weight (well, my weight as of my first OB/GYN pre-natal appointment) and then another 8 pounds or so to go by June. I am very satisfied but I still have a long, long journey to go. But I am going to do it!
BMI: 25.83
We’ll see how the first week back at work affects my weight loss. :/
Happy Easter Pretty, Pretty Readers!

Flab-Flab, Go Away {Friday’s}

Well, I changed the name and day of my weigh-in’s. I realized last week that I was supposed to be weighing in on Friday’s for Jillian’s program so here we are two days later. I have been doing really well in regards to what I am eating. I no longer crave carbs, which is huge because at one point in my life I could solely live off of them. I have also cut out real butter, which is another huge feat in itself because I love butter like Paula Deen love’s bacon. I even went shopping for me the other day and braved myself to take a chance to try on jeans. I got a size 11 on, which was great, but I couldn’t button them up. I wasn’t upset, just happy that this number wasn’t a size 16. It also means that with an additional ten pounds I will be in my pre–preggo jeans. I attempted putting on my size 28 Hudson’s but my thighs are still a little big, but with hope and a lot of hard work I plan on getting back into these in the next month. I have reached a point where the saying, “it took nine months to get your body where it is, so don’t expect miracles overnight” finally sunk in. FINALLY. I also think that seeing the previews for Kendra’s new season turned on a light bulb. I will probably write about the show after seeing it Sunday night, but I have a feeling that what Kendra experiences in that episode is how I am feeling.
Okay, this weeks numbers:
Weight: 162 : down one pound from last week. Total weight loss: 8 pounds
BMI: 26.15 : down slightly from last week (26.22)
Next week I will have measurements to start tracking.
and. . . for your viewing pleasure of my flab, here are two pictures. The first one is of me on Christmas Day, seven days after I gave birth. The second was taken today. There is clearly a huge difference, but still a whole lotta work ahead!

excuse my messy EVERYTHING! I got out of the shower to a screaming baby and thought I’d snap a few pics while she was content watching cartoons.

Weigh-In Wednesday {Friday}

Oops! I am a little late this week. I have been all over the place, Monday/Tuesday I took an all-day “botanically correct” gum paste flower class, Wednesday we went to Disneyland and yesterday I was up in Big Bear at my parents and visiting a friend for lunch. What this means is that life got in the way of me heading to the gym. I could have gone last night but I hadn’t really seen Jim so we decided to cuddle up on the couch to catch up on our DVR while little P slept away. My numbers are not amazing this week, but I am lifting my head high with the anticipation of marching into next week ready to shed more pounds.

Weigh-In:
Weight: 163 : this number is the same. It’s better than gaining weight, right?

BMI: 26.22 : down slightly from last week.
