Happy Fourth!

First of all, Happy Fourth of July! Jimmy and I are taking a break and headed back to our house while the Schack’s are at Amanda’s soccer game so I thought I’d take a moment and blog about our day and show how HUGE I am getting. This week I finally headed back to the gym after three months of not working out. It felt great but awkward as everyone was staring at me. I don’t really get it, yes people I am pregnant, what’s wrong with working out!? I hate to even post pictures of me in a bathing suit but I guess its the one time in my life where I am not too ashamed of how much weight I am gaining because it’s for a good cause. This morning we headed to breakfast in Poway and then went over to the Schack’s to utilize their pool. It was Delilah’s first time swimming and it was so funny. After her first dip she ran all over their property and Jim couldn’t even catch her by sprinting. We put her in three times and unless one of us held her she made a B-line to the edge to escape. After our short lived pool time we caught up on Weeds and now we’re sitting at home waiting to head to the fair. This is a very low key Fourth for us and to be honest its been great to just relax and not have to drive two hours to see family and friends. We hope everyone is having a safe holiday!

Baby at 13 Weeks

This post is over two weeks late but I finally had a moment to write about baby. At 13 weeks I went to have my NT Scan and these ultrasounds pics are from then. Baby A is doing well and growing like a weed! It was fun to see the baby move around, suck its thumb, yawn, and be stubborn for the tech who was trying to check out the spinal cord. The heartbeat was around 165. I go back to the doctor on the 8th for my 16 week appointment so more pictures to come!

Happy Anniversary!

To us! We’ve been married two years today. How time flies when your having fun. . .
No BIG plans tonight, we are headed to downtown San Diego to have dinner at Busalacchi’s on Fifth. Jim and I haven’t had a date night in a long time so it should be nice to getaway for a few hours to spend quality time with one another.

Surprise We’re Expecting!

As our first official post, we are announcing that yes! we are expecting a little one. Jim and I found out on Tuesday, April 21st that all my moodiness, weird cravings of spinach and tiredness all alluded to a little bean growing in my belly. As of today, I am eight weeks pregnant and expected to bring little baby bean into the world on December 29th. I have all my doctor’s appointments made through August 6th, which is the day that we hopefully find out what the sex is. Below is a picture of our first glimpse of our baby, measuring at 7 weeks, 2 days (as of last Thursday). Bean’s heartbeat was fast and big, and as Jim stated he/she looks like a wii character. We are truly elated and are looking forward to the next seven months as we prepare for our next chapter in life to begin.

I am so bummed! Two seasons in a row where I think Tyra and her group of judges have made a horrible decision. Quirky, bug-eyed Allison should have been the winner! She had the best photographs and she clearly was a better commercial model over Teyona. Anyway, I needed to rant for a moment…damn ANTM!
