My PB + J

nûby solid feeding {review}

Brayden has been a super eating machine lately, though you cannot tell because he isn’t gaining weight. He is just constantly going and has inherited his daddy’s fast metabolism. When he isn’t grazing, which seems like all day he will sit down for a meal. Typically he will grab a handful of his food and then move on. Last night I decided to introduce our Nûby fun-feeding bowl and easy-grip fork to see if it would help him slow down.

For our dinner we were dining on spaghetti squash with brushetta sauce. It could have been difficult for him to use the fork especially since it was his first time using a utensil to actually eat with versus play. He took a look at the brightly colored bowl and fork and let out a, “OHHHH!” I think he was pretty excited about the new addition to his high chair tray.

The handle on the fork was easy for him to grip and he could easily maneuver the fork into his mouth with a good amount of spaghetti squash in tow. My big boy was totally loving his new independence and the curiosity that came along with using a utensil.

 These items are very durable and will withstand being thrown, not that my angel would ever throw anything across the room but Nûby products are made for everyday use. The fork does come in a starter set with a spoon and one additional set in a different color. The bowl is also available in addition colors and is great for hot and cold food. Both are essential for transitioning your child to independent feeding.

How can you not love this face?!

pûrICE soothing teething ring {nûby mommy blogger review

One of the amazing perks of being a Nûby Mommy Blogger is that my family gets to review amazing  Nûby products! Over the next few months I will be sharing these products with you. For my fourth review I would like to introduce you to the pûrICE soother teething ring.

One of the worries we had for Brayden being a cleft baby was whether or not he would have all of his teeth. He started showing signs of teething around four months just like his sister but at six months there still weren’t any teeth. Of course, we were worried but every child is different so we waited and waited. Finally, at eight-and-a-half months his first top tooth came in. It didn’t take long for the next six to come in. During this time he showed very little distress that his teeth were coming in, we’re not going to complain about this at all! But, of course, there were days where he needed a little soothing for his swollen gums. Cue the Nûby pûrICE soother teething ring.

The Nûby pûrICE soother teething ring is just what Brayden needs to help relieve his swollen gums. The soother ring provides a cool textured surface for baby to bite and teethe safely. The raised offset surface was designed to assist in the eruption of teeth by gently massaging their gums. What we love about this teether is that it stays colder longer because of the pûrICE. Most teething rings are filled with water, they begin to sweat and go warm after just a few minutes. This teething ring stays cold for about twenty-minutes and it doesn’t sweat. This is a huge plus for us and honestly why I strayed away from teething rings for so long with Brayden. I cannot recommend this teething ring enough for teething babies.

Do you have a little that’s teething? Are you looking for a great addition to a baby shower gift? Then look no further! You can purchase this product and many other Nûby products from: www.buybabydirect.com & www.walmart.com.

two handle no-spill sippy cup {nûby mommy blogger review}

One of the amazing perks of being a Nûby Mommy Blogger is that my family gets to review amazing  Nûby products! Over the next few months I will be sharing these products with you. For my third review I would like to introduce you to the two-handle no-spill cup .
Brayden is just a few weeks away from turning eleven months. With that being said we are beginning to transition him from bottles to sippy cups. The two handle no-spill sippy cups are always my favorite to start the kids off with. Not only does it make it easier for their little hands to hold it also doesn’t spill, and let me tell you, this is the biggest plus! There are so many cups out there that advertise that they are no-spill and without fail I have spilled milk all over my freshly cleaned sofa. The Nûby no-spill cup holds true to this and if there were one kid who would find a way to spray milk everywhere it would be our messy little boy. This is why Nûby cups are always my go-to for both of our children.

Right away Brayden latched onto the two handles and began to drink his juice. You could tell he loved the soft, yet durable silicone spout because he kept gnawing on it. I also believe that it was aiding as a teether as we are waiting on tooth number eight to pop through.

He clung to his newly found friend for over an hour. I’d say this transition will be pretty easy thanks to the Nûby two-handle no-spill cup!

Do you have a little about to transition from bottle to sippies? Or, do you have a toddler in need of a no-spill cup? Look no further! You can purchase this product and many other Nûby products  from www.buybabydirect.com & www.kmart.com.

iMonster fork & spoon {nuby mommy blogger review}

One of the amazing perks of being a Nuby Mommy Blogger is that my family gets to review amazing Nuby products! Over the next few months I will be sharing these products with you. For my second review I would like to introduce you to the iMonster Fork & Spoon.
When our package arrived in the mail Payton simply had to get her hands on to the iMonster fork & spoon set. She didn’t seem to care that they were intended for her brother as he begins to learn how to use utensils. But, what can I say? The googly-eyed monsters are fun and they made her meal time a lot more fun!

The fork and spoon are bright and cheery but also add that bit of fun any parent is looking for when trying to get their child to eat their dinner. On this given night we were having tacos and Payton was having all her favorites. She asked for the monster fork because, “he’s funny!” I love that the fork & spoon can be used for either child because of it’s design it can grow with either child.
The set is good for either right or lefty’s and are perfect for little hands because of the fun design.
Want to add a monster to the family? You can purchase this set for $3.99 from www.buybabydirect.com & www.amazon.com

Nuby Ol’McDonald Singing Plush Toy {Review}

One of the amazing perks of being a Nuby Mommy Blogger is that my family gets to review amazing Nuby products! Over the next few months I will be sharing these products with you. For my first review I would like to introduce you to the Ol’McDonald Singing Plush Toy collection.

 Let me just tell you that when our package arrived the kids could not wait to play with the chicken. The music is unlike any other singing children’s toy due to the clarity of the song, it seriously sounds amazing. The vibrant, soft chicken brings a smile to both of my children and has us singing along as we run errands or while we’re playing at home.
We run a lot of errands and honestly this toy is one I make sure I bring along in the car. If the baby starts to get whiny all I do is give the chicken a little hug and he forgets about why he was crying and starts dancing. Payton loves it as well because it has taught her a new song and she requests the “moo-moo” song all.the.time!

I recently brought it on a play date in the park and all the children wanted to play with it. It was one of those moments where each kid wanted to take the chicken home and I wish they all could! This toy is definitely on the top of my list for parents-to-be or for a first birthday despite that it’s recommended for three months and up. I can safely tell you that my 2.5 year-old loves it just as much as my almost ten month-old.
Here is a video of Brayden while we were shopping at Costco. He was getting restless and the familiar children’s song turned it all around.
The Ol’McDonald singing plush toys make a great gift and I know I will purchasing the other farm animals from the collection. If you wish to purchase one, you can find them at BuyBabyDirect.com for just $8.99!
